StoryKid ("we", "us") creates personalized bilingual children's books. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using StoryKid you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Child details you provide: first name, age, gender, interests, and an optional photo, used solely to personalize the story and illustrations.
• Optional family photo and dedication for special editions (e.g. the Birthday edition).
• Order & contact information: your email and, for printed books, the shipping address.
• Payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Usage analytics: anonymous, aggregated page and event data to improve the product.

Children's information

StoryKid is intended for use by parents and guardians, not by children. Any information about a child (name, age, photo) must be provided by a parent or guardian who consents to its use to create the book. We use a child's photo only to generate the artwork for that book. We do not use it to identify the child, build profiles, train public AI models, or for advertising, and we never sell it.

How we use your information

• To generate your personalized stories, illustrations, and audiobook.
• To produce and (for print orders) fulfill and ship your book.
• To process payment, provide support, and send order-related messages.

Service providers we share with

To deliver the product we send the necessary data to trusted processors: Anthropic (story text), fal.ai and Google Gemini (illustrations), OpenAI (audiobook narration), Stripe (payments), Lulu (print & shipping), and Vercel (hosting). They process this data only to provide their service to us.

Data retention

We keep your order and the files needed to re-deliver or reprint your book. You may request deletion of your personal data and uploaded photos at any time by emailing us.

Your choices

Creating a book with a photo is optional. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time at hello@storykidbooks.com.
